How To Disable The Pixel 2 Always-On Display

Google Pixel 2 is one impressive smartphone from search engine giant, Google. The device was announced 2017, October with a 5.0 inches display and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It rocks a 64/128GB internal storage, and a 4GB of RAM. Google Pixel 2 comes with a non-removable Li-Ion 2700 mAh battery capacity and the device is featured in Kinda Blue, Just Black and Clearly White colours.

In this post, we will not be looking at the phone in general, but will be taking a look at how we can disable the Always-On Display features that comes with the smartphone. For those who don't know, the Always-On Display is a feature that shows the time, date, and battery status by on your device. The feature was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S7 back in 2016. 

This feature also consume energy although not as much, but most manufacturers claim the feature uses less than 5% of your battery life. If you are wondering how to disable this feature, then follow the steps below.

 How to Disable the Pixel 2 Always-On Display
  • First go to Settings
  • Then click on Display 
  • Then Advanced 
  • And scroll down to Ambient Display
  • Under Ambient Display you will find "Always on Switch"
  • Now just turn off the Always on Switch and you are done.
