HP Launches ZBook x2 The World’s First Detachable PC Workstation

HP has officially launched the world’s first detachable PC workstation called the ZBook x2. The device was design to solve mobility problems, making it flexible for users to carry on the go. ZBook x2 comes with a detachable keyboard and a chunky 14-inch display which can be use as a tablet. It was designed specially for creative professional use.

ZBook x2 sports a 14-inches display screen with a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels. The device which weighs 2.2Kg and 15mm thick, comes with a 32GB of RAM and 2TB HP Z Turbo Drive storage SSD. It is powered by the Intel Kaby Lake-R line 8th generation quad-core i7 processor clocked at 4.2GHz. ZBook x2 comes with a Wacom EMR pen which includes 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

For the connectivity, ZBook x2 comes with a smart card reader, an SD card reader, an HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port, and two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt support and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2. it has a 720p webcam and backlit keyboard, and when detached, it weighs 1.7kg. The device was built with durability in mind as it can withstand rains, dust and extreme temperatures.

ZBook x2 comes with a 10 hours battery life and a fast charging feature. Due to be available in December, the HP ZBook Z2 is coming at a price tag of $1,749
