Nokia 6, Nokia 8 Receiving Android 7.1.2 Nougat Update With October Security Patch

As you may well remember, HMD Global launched the Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 with Android 7 Nougat. After the launch of the smartphones, the company made a promise that there was going to be an upgraded to the devices. Ever since then, both smartphone has been upgraded from Nougat 7 to Nougat 7.1 and now it has released the 7.1.2 version as well. 

The new update which is being delivered via (OTA) over-the-air, weighs around 665MB. The new update is said to bring improved system stability and user interface enhancements to both the Nokia Android phones. While on the other hand the October security patch will reportedly brings bug fixes onboard.

While this maybe ongoing, HMD Global has also confirmed that Android 8.0 (Oreo) update will also be available for all its latest Android smartphones. 

How To Upgrade Your Nokia 6 And Nokia 8 To Android 7.1.2 Nougat

Go to the Settings option on your Nokia smartphone, then locate the About phone section, and next to the System Update tab to check for new updates. Currently the update has been rolled out to country like Sri Lanka, Netherlands and many more.

NOTE: With that size of a file, we do advice users to upgrade using Wi-fi as this may help save your data and finance. Also make sure you battery is more than 50% before you begin the update.
