Apple Releases iOS 11.1.2 To Fixes iPhone X Unresponsive Screen

Apple's iPhone X is no doubt, is the company's biggest device right now. The smartphone which comes with a Face ID feature, a 5.8-inch all-screen Retina display with 2436 x 1125 pixels resolution, has been marked with some recent bugs and the company has also been rolling out updates to fix this problems. 


Two months ago, Apple released the iOS 11.0.1 update to fix the problem of battery life draining as well as bring improvements for iMessage App Explorer and Springboard. After several users complained about their screen temporarily becoming non responsive to touch after rapid change to cold environment, the company then released its latest update to fix this problem.

The new update not only addresses the screen unresponsiveness issue but also brings in fix for a bug that could cause distortion in live photos / videos captured by iPhone X.

For iPhone X users, the new update is available via over-the-air (OTA) and comes with a size of 51.4MB.

  • Fixes an issue where the iPhone X screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop.
  • Addresses an issue that could cause distortion in Live Photos and videos captured with iPhone X
