Facebook Introduces Click-To-WhatsApp Button On Facebook Ads

One unique feature about using WhatsApp, is that the social media platform with its over 1 billion users worldwide has always been an ad-free network. This has made it a preferred messaging platform where users don't have to worry about annoying ads hitting there phones. But its seems like this is about to change, as Facebook is now rolling out Click-to-WhatsApp button; a new ad unit that will let businesses ads create a link between the two platforms. 


With this new introduction, advertisers running ads on Facebook can now include a new WhatsApp button to their ad which will let people directly share the ad directly to WhatsApp with just a click of a button. According to report, over one million Facebook pages have already included WhatsApp numbers in their posts and that many businesses are relying on both the social media channels to connect with customers.

Pancham Gajjar, product marketing manager, Facebook, in a statement said the platform was a great source for businesses to sale their product due to its number of users. According to him;
Many people already use WhatsApp to communicate with small businesses. It’s a fast, convenient way to stay in touch. By adding a click-to-WhatsApp button to Facebook ads, businesses can now make it even easier for people to learn about their products, set up an appointment or use their service.
The new feature start with users in North America, South America, most of Asia, Africa, Australia and later will hit Europe when Facebook has observed how the feature is received everywhere else.
