Moto X4 Gets Android 8.0 Oreo Update, See How To Upgrade

Motorola has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo Update for its Moto X4 device. The update will bring new, improve and popular Android 8.0 Oreo features such as Notification channels, snooze notifications, Autofill APIs, Picture in Picture (PIP) display, Adaptive icons, Wide-gamut color for apps, Support for high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs such as LDAC codec, and much more to the users.



Remember the device was launched few months back running Android 7.1 Nougat, which the company later made it known that the device will be getting an Android 8.0 Oreo Update. What to expected from the new update includes;
  • New multitasking features, security capabilities, improved notifications and performance.
  • Android security patches until December 1st, 2017.
  • And also fix bugs and improve the stability of your phone.


The update is about 1.13GB in size and has a build number of OPW27.2. It is Over The Air (OTA) and its gradually been rolled out to users so be patient as it will get to you.
