Samsung Releases New Oreo Beta Update For Galaxy S8 And S8 Plus

Samsung has once again rolled out another beta version of Oreo 8.0 for owners of S8 and S8+ in US, UK, and South Korea. This is coming after the tech giant rolled the another Beta Version a while back.

The new version comes as a fix to some bug experience by users of the first version.  The Oreo 8.0 is running the “Samsung Experience 9.0” and it comes with features such as launcher shortcuts, colored media notifications and much more.

This version weighs 850MB in size, and as usual Samsung advises users to back-up the data before applying the latest firmware. Also you should try to see that you smartphone is at least 50% charged before proceeding with the update. Although Samsung is yet to make the Oreo 8.0 update official, but we hope to see this done in late January or February 2018.

How To Update

To update your Galaxy S8 & S8 Plus, simply go to
  • Open the “Settings”
  • Click on “Software Update”
  • Select “Download Update Manually”

And then proceed to download and Install it. Reboot your device and enjoy the new update.
