Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, And Pixel C Will Not Officially Get Android P

Google just few hours ago released of the first Android P Developer Preview for the Pixel and Pixel XL devices. I know some users of the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and Pixel C device may be wondering while they can't install it. The reason is simple, and I will be telling that these device getting these update.

Google will not be bringing the Android P to its earlier devices, among this includes, the Huawei-made Nexus 6P, the LG-made Nexus 5X, and the Pixel C tablet. The Nexus 6P and 5X launched in 2015, and before the second-generation Pixels Google's promise has been to deliver non-security software updates for two years.

The reason these device will not be getting the Android P update, is that be the time the update comes out in August or September these device will already be three years old. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL on the other hand will get support for a minimum of three years, meaning that they should even get Android R in 2020.
