BlackBerry Athena Gets TENAA's Certification

Earlier this month, we reported that Blackberry is working on a new smartphone with the codenamed "Athena." the device was earlier spotted on Geekbench and now once again, spotted on the site of China's telecommunications regulator TENAA. The certification came with four pictures just like the one featured on Geekbench but let a little difference.

The smartphone according to the first listing featured a QWERTY Keypad and Snapdragon 660 processor. The new TENAA listing have just confirmed QWERTY style physical keyboard that was earlier published. The smartphone is coming from Huizhou TCL Mobile Communications Co. Ltd with the model number BBF100-4. One noticeable deference in the two image, is that the new image came with the Blackberry logo on the spacebar. Also there's now USB-C at the bottom while retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.

Not much was revealed by the new certification, but the smartphone will sporting a dual camera setup, paired with dual-LED flash. from the image released, BlackBerry Athena will have its power button and volume keys on the same side.
