Huawei P8 Lite (2017) Android Oreo Update Brings Project Treble Support

Huawei P8 Lite (2017) also known as Honor 8 Lite in China, is one of the best selling device of 2017. Launched with Android Nougat out of the box, the smartphone is officially getting the first beta of Android 8.0 Oreo. The new update will be bring support to Project Treble.


With Project Treble, the operating system gets split into two frameworks: one with the Android core OS and one with the company’s customisation. In this way, Huawei will be able to release its upcoming updates in quick and easy manner. The update is not an OTA update and is actually available only for Chinese users.

The update also contains all the core features of Android Oreo, and it is customized with EMUI 8.0. The smartphone was launched with a 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. 

Huawei P8 Lite 2017/Honor 8 Lite features a 5.2 inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel.
