LG G6 Users Get Ready, Android Oreo Update Coming Next Week

Earlier this month, LG promised to update the LG G6 device with the latest Android Oreo update. Keeping to the promise, the company has now confirmed, that the update will roll out starting from April 30th. The company also said it is planning to add AI features to the G6 that was introduced with the V30 ThinQ.

The update is Over The Air (OTA) and its coming through LG Bridge software. Other device to receive the Android Oreo update, immediately after the LG G6, is the LG V20 and LG G5. While details about global roll out has not been revealed yet, we are expected get more details in soon.

Android Oreo Update comes with amazing features such as Background limits, Notification channels, snooze notifications, Autofill APIs, Picture in Picture (PIP) display, Adaptive icons, Support for high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs such as LDAC codec, Companion device pairing, Keyboard navigation and much more.

Just few days ago, the company's LG G7 ThinQ was certified in South Korea. The certification shows the smartphone to sport 4GB RAM, 6GB RAM internal storage and an expandable memory of up to 64GB. The device come with 6.1-inches FullVision MLCD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. More details will be brought to you after the launch, which has been scheduled for May 2nd in New York and May 3rd in South Korea.
