Xiaomi Working On Two Smartphones To Be Powered By Snapdragon 670 SoC

Xiaomi according to report is planning to unveil two smartphone to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC. This was made known from a tweet by the editor-in-chief of XDA Developers, Mishaal Rahman who also revealed that the two devices are coming with the codenamed “Comet” and “Sirius”.


Recent indication has confirmed that the Snapdragon 670  will come with a 2+6 CPU core arrangement, instead of four high-end and four low-end cores in ARM big. LITTLE configuration. The chipset is bid to be released this year and its meant for mid-range devices.

Although not much is known about the speculations of the two Xiaomi device, but indication suggests that one of the devices might be the unannounced Xiaomi Mi Note 4 which will be the expected successor to the Mi Note 3 announced last year. The other device is believed to be the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 a successor to the Mi Max 2 announced about a year ago.

This has not been officially confirmed and like I said, it is still based on assumptions. If the story does turn at to be truth, we may see the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 arriving as early as May/June. The Mi Note 4 on the other hand could still months away. So we will update you on the development.
