OnePlus Is Planning To Launch Its First 5G Phone In 2019

CEO and founder OnePlus, Pete Lau said its company aims to launch a 5G smartphone next year. The company's CEO said this at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai in China this week. The new 5G smartphone although not mention could be the company's upcoming OnePlus 7/7T.

The company has been working with Qualcomm to see that OnePlus become one of the worlds first 5G mobile phone makers. Oppo's launch will sync with the first year of 5G being available in the US. The new device may also come with a carrier variant although the company has not officially stated this.

Its OnePlus 6 currently works well on AT&T’s and T-Mobile’s networks, but with Qualcomm chipsets, it’s conceivable that it could bring a phone that works with any US carrier. As for the bloatware, Lau said “burdenless is the core of the company’s phones and it means that OnePlus prioritizes speed and a bloatware-free experience.
